Q. Why do I need to pay to volunteer with you?

A. Why should you pay when you’re offering your skills? Staying with either a host family or local NGO the fees cover flights, food, accommodation, orientation, airport pickup and salaries of staff that are there for you to help you along the way. You will receive 24/7 during your visit and you will have a full orientation before you set off on your volunteer trip. Your contribution will allow hosts, communities and organisations to obtain all that is necessary for your stay from their often limited incomes. Additionally, your admin fee keeps NICE running since administration, stationary and internet costs need to be paid to ensure so you and all volunteers can have a well supported volunteer experience in the friendliest place on earth, Vanuatu.

Q. What qualifications do I need?

A. A degree or trade certificate is usually required in your area of expertise.

Q. When can I go?

A. This depends on your qualifications, availability and the needs of the institution or village you will be placed with.

Q. Do I need a National Police Check (NPC) and Working with Children Check (WWC)?

A. Yes, your application cannot be considered unless these checks are conducted and you provide evidence of such checks.

Q. Who pays for the NPC and WWC?

A. You. NPCs are $42 and need to be less than 2 years old and WWC are free for volunteers but must be obtained.
